Love chocolate? Then this tender, luxurious layer cake is for you. Mango season is upon us and adding mango to this traditional cake make it even more interesting.
Ingredients :
1 chocolate cake (baked per box instructions for 9 x 13” pan)
1 (12 oz) tub of frozen whipped topping, slightly thawed
1 Mango
How to Make this Chocolate Trifle recipe:
STEP 1: Cut the baked cake into small cubes, about 1 to 1 ½ inches in size.
STEP 2 : Cut the Mangoes also into smaller cubes
STEP 3 : Add half of the pieces of chocolate cake to the glass. Gently press them together to fill in any gaps.
STEP 4 : Spread half of the whipped cream on top of the cake layer.
STEP 5 : Add half of the pieces of Mangoes on top of whipped cream. Gently press them together to fill in any gaps.
STEP 6: Repeat adding your layers of cake, mango chunks, and a final layer of whipped topping with chocolate sauce .
STEP 7: Chill for 1 – 2 hours before serving.
